A new batch of Wings for Europe drones was personally delivered to Ukraine by the member of European Parliament Dainius Žalimas and a team of volunteers. Professor Žalimas fundraised money for components for 20 drones as well as SUV cars for Ukrainian units. Support was delivered by him to Charkiv Marsel batallion where students and alumni of Charkiv Law University serve.
A strong advocate for citizen-led action, the MEP had a strong message:
“You don’t have to be a politician to make an impact. I do what I can to support my fellow Ukrainian lawyers, judges and professors who took up arms for Ukraines survival and for freedom in Europe.”
It is the second batch of Wings for Europe drones that MEP Žalimas is delivering to Ukraine. The idea to cooperate and join the efforts came up during one of the team-building events organized for Members of European Parliament by Wings for Europe.
