At the vibrant Benelux Sports Games in Duffel, Belgium, Wings for Europe made some noise. Volunteers hosted a stand and demonstrated how drones are assembled, how they fly and why they matter.
Among the crowd? Dozens of professionals from European institutions and NATO. European Commissioner Virginijus Sinkevičius was visibly impressed — he personally sponsored a full set of drone components and received a unique piece of art as a thank-you gift.
“This is the kind of hands-on action Europe needs more of” said the visiting Minister of Economy and Innovation.
Visitors young and old left inspired — and some even signed up as new volunteers.
