NOCTIS: Seeing Through the Darkness

Wings for Europe has completed NOCTIS, a FPV drone equipped with an exceptionally high-quality night-vision camera. Developed for operations in low-light and nighttime conditions, NOCTIS provides Ukrainian defenders with a clear and detailed view when conventional cameras can no longer offer reliable visibility.

Its advanced night-vision capability can support reconnaissance, terrain observation, route monitoring and the detection of movement after sunset. By providing real-time visual information from a safer distance, NOCTIS helps soldiers assess potential threats and make better-informed decisions without unnecessarily exposing personnel.

For Ukrainian defenders, improved nighttime visibility means greater situational awareness, faster reactions and a lower risk of unexpected threats. NOCTIS can observe areas that would otherwise require soldiers to approach in person, helping protect lives while delivering valuable information from the battlefield.

Every NOCTIS drone is assembled, configured and tested by Wings for Europe volunteers before being delivered to Ukrainian units. Each contribution helps transform individual components into practical equipment for those defending Ukraine—and Europe’s shared freedom.
